Job summary

ConsultANZ Civil Engineering, Construction, Surveying Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer with strong mechanical and conveyor systems experience for a multimillion-dollar infrastructure project in Queensland. The role focuses on managing a specialist subcontract package involving structural, mechanical, and piling works.

You will coordinate subcontractors, review designs and specifications, monitor progress, and manage cost control and commercial aspects.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Engineer on industrial, resources, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong mechanical and conveyor systems experience is essential.
• Experience managing subcontractors and specialist work packages.
• Understanding of structural, mechanical, and piling (SMP) works.
• Strong ability to review and manage conveyor installation.
• Experience with subcontract administration and project cost control.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work a FIFO roster.
• Candidates based in Brisbane or Melbourne are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of the conveyor and mechanical subcontract package.
• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Review technical designs, drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
• Monitor project progress, costs, variations, and subcontractor performance.
• Manage contractual and commercial aspects of the package.
• Coordinate structural, mechanical, and piling interfaces.
• Resolve technical issues and ensure project requirements are met.
• Liaise with the project management team, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reporting.
• Ensure quality assurance and safety standards are maintained throughout delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong mechanical and conveyor systems knowledge to manage a specialist subcontract package involving structural, mechanical, and piling works.
