Job summary

Endfire Engineering Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Projects Team, focusing on mechanical piping and fire protection systems on major projects.

You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, site teams and suppliers to manage engineering requirements, procurement, cost control, and documentation, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum three years' experience in project engineering.
• Experience with mechanical piping systems in petrochemical, processing, oil and gas, industrial or complex construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate engineering and project delivery activities.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts and technical documentation.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables, procurement, materials and equipment requirements.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project progress, costs, risks and delivery requirements.
• Support project forecasting, cost control and variation management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
• Identify technical or delivery issues and coordinate practical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project and site team members.
• Assist with task allocation, team coordination and mentoring.
• Monitor compliance with contractual, technical, quality and safety requirements.
• Work across multiple engineering and construction disciplines to keep projects moving.
