Job summary

CPB Contractors, via RRJV, is delivering a landmark $1.7B Defence infrastructure program at RAAF Base Wagga and surrounding facilities. We seek a Project Engineer to help plan, program and deliver construction safely, on time, and to quality standards, working with site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders.

The role requires a Engineering degree and 5–8 years of experience in major projects, with exposure to Defence or institutional works and a strong focus on coordination, planning and risk

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• 5–8 years of experience in building, infrastructure or major construction projects.
• Experience delivering Defence, institutional, commercial, residential, education or healthcare projects.
• Exposure to fitout, facades, piling, precast, roofing, services, infrastructure, or commissioning works.
• Strong understanding of project delivery, planning and subcontractor management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive and solutions-focused attitude.
• Australian Citizenship or PR with Baseline Security Clearance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of construction activities from planning through to completion.

Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders, you'll help ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and managing assigned work packages

About You

We're looking for motivated Project Engineers who thrive in dynamic project environments and enjoy working collaboratively to deliver outstanding outcomes.

You'll ideally bring:

• Degree qualification in Engineering
• 5-8 years of experience within building, infrastructure, or major construction projects
• Experience delivering commercial, residential, education, healthcare, accommodation, Defence, or institutional projects
• Exposure to areas such as fitout, facades, piling, precast, roofing, services, infrastructure, or commissioning works
• Strong understanding of project delivery, planning, and subcontractor management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
