Job summary

Kinvara Civil, a Sydney-based civil construction company, is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our team on diverse infrastructure projects and grow your career.

Assist the Project Manager with planning, coordination and delivery of civil construction projects, coordinate site activities, labour, plant, subcontractors, suppliers and materials, and monitor costs and schedules to ensure alignment with the contract.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience working on civil construction projects, with Sydney/NSW experience preferred.
• Experience in water, sewer, drainage or underground utility projects is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and site processes.
• Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both on site and as part of a project team.
• NSW White Card.
• Valid Australian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with the planning, coordination and delivery of civil construction projects.
• Coordinate site activities, labour, plant, subcontractors, suppliers and materials.
• Monitor construction programs, project costs, productivity and progress against budget.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to ensure works are delivered in accordance with the contract.
• Attend site and client meetings and assist in resolving technical, commercial and scheduling matters.
• Identify and assist with the management of variations, estimates and project submissions.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, site records and quality records.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works meet project requirements.
• Ensure inspections, testing, ITPs and hold points are completed and appropriately documented.
• Support the implementation of project WHS, quality and environmental management requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and assist with incident, NCR and corrective action reporting where required.
• Build positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.

What We’re Looking For
