Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Sydney is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure Solutions team and contribute to major Australian projects across the full lifecycle.

You will support planning, design and delivery of civil infrastructure, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, innovative and sustainable solutions for clients. A degree in Civil Engineering is required, with progress toward Chartered status (CPEng) encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Experience in civil infrastructure engineering within a consulting environment is preferred.
  • Exposure to design and delivery of infrastructure projects such as roads, rail, water or urban development.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles and design standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Progress towards Chartered Engineer status (CPEng) or interest in pursuing accreditation in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with project planning, scheduling and delivery activities.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.

This is an opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, with a strong focus on transport and infrastructure programs including roads, rail, water and urban development projects, while building your technical capability as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.

The Opportunity

As a Civil Engineer, you will support the planning, design and delivery of a range of infrastructure projects across their full lifecycle. Working within our Civil team, you will collaborate with experienced engineers and specialists to help deliver practical, innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Contributing to the planning, design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
