Job summary

Bayside Group is seeking a Project Engineer for a long-term casual role with view to permanency at their North West Sydney manufacturing facility. The role involves project planning, coordinating with Project Managers and supervising equipment installations locally and internationally.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering degree, is self-driven and communicates effectively, with willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel locally and internationally at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Project planning, ensuring timely completion and to specification.
• Provide support to Project Managers.
• Travel to local and international sites to supervise equipment installation.
• Support and guidance to distributors, OEMs and strategic partners.
• Review project drawings and liaise with design team.
• Select equipment components on suitability, price and availability.
• Prepare bills of materials, specs, quotes and purchase requisitions.
• Prepare data for progress/contract reviews.

They are currently seeking a Project Engineer for a long-term casual role (with the view to permanency) in their manufacturing facility based in North West Sydney.

Duties include:

• Project planning, ensuring timely completion and to specification.
• Providing support to Project Managers.
• Travel to local and international sites to supervise the installation of equipment.
• Providing support and guidance to the company's distributors, OEM's and strategic partners.
• Reviewing project drawings and liaising with the design team.
• Selection of equipment components on suitability, price and availability.
• Preparation of bills of materials as directed.
• Preparation and issuing of specifications, analysing quotes and issuing purchase requisitions.
• Preparation of data for progress / contract reviews.

Ideally you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
• A current passport and ability to travel locally and internationally at short notice.
• The ability to work under minimal supervision and be self-driven.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
