Job summary

Veolia in NSW is seeking a Project Engineer to lead delivery of water and wastewater projects at Illawarra, Woronora, and Gerringong treatment plants. Use your engineering skills to benefit communities while growing with a global environmental leader.

You will manage capital and maintenance projects up to $1M, develop from concept to completion, prepare specs and tenders, ensure HSEQ compliance, and work with stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or trade qualification.
• Strong commercial acumen and contract management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver capital and maintenance projects up to $1M in water infrastructure
• Lead project development from concept through to completion using Veolia’s Project Management Standards
• Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and manage contractor relationships
• Ensure HSEQ compliance and lead safety initiatives across all project phases including site supervision
• Estimate project costing, participate in tender evaluations and maintain financial forecasting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders
• Drive innovation in water treatment solutions while maintaining operational efficiency
• Industry leading safety programs with comprehensive HSEQ training
