Job summary

Veolia Water Australia is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital and maintenance water projects across the Hunter region, applying engineering expertise to deliver initiatives that benefit communities while advancing your career with a global leader in environmental solutions.

You will manage projects from concept to completion using Veolia's Project Management Standards, prepare specifications and tenders, ensure HSEQ compliance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar; project management experience.
  • Water and wastewater experience preferred.
  • Graduates with 1–2 years experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver capital and maintenance projects up to $1M in water infrastructure.
  • Lead project development from concept to completion using Veolia's Project Management Standards.
  • Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and manage contractor relationships.
  • Ensure HSEQ compliance and lead safety initiatives across all project phases including site supervision.
  • Estimate project costing, participate in tender evaluations and maintain financial forecasting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation in water treatment solutions while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Industry leading safety programs with comprehensive HSEQ training.

What you’ll be responsible for

Manage and deliver capital and maintenance projects up to $1M in water infrastructure

What You’ll Need to be Successful
