Job summary

Veolia Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the delivery of water and wastewater projects across NSW, including the Illawarra, Woronora, and Gerringong Treatment Plants. You will apply your engineering expertise to projects that benefit communities while advancing your career with a global environmental leader.

You will manage capital and maintenance work up to $1M, develop projects from concept to completion, and ensure HSEQ compliance across all phases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or trade qualification.
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract management experience.
  • Proven water infrastructure project experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver capital and maintenance projects up to $1M in water infrastructure.
  • Lead project development from concept through to completion using Veolia's Project Management Standards.
  • Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and manage contractor relationships.
  • Ensure HSEQ compliance and lead safety initiatives across all project phases including site supervision.
  • Estimate project costing, participate in tender evaluations and maintain financial forecasting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation in water treatment solutions while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Industry leading safety programs with comprehensive HSEQ training.
