Job summary

ACCIONA Energía in Melbourne seeks an experienced Project Engineer to deliver work packages on infrastructure projects across metro and regional Victoria. You will coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, designers and clients to keep delivery safe, on program and within budget.

The base is South Melbourne with project work across the state. You will develop technical and commercial skills on real projects and contribute to sustainable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Strong planning and scheduling skills with experience in roads/rail projects.
• Proven ability to manage contracts, forecast costs and report on progress.

• Deliver assigned work packages safely, to program and budget.
• Coordinate design, procurement and site interfaces.
• Manage subcontractors and monitor progress and quality.

Job Description

Acciona are currently looking for Project Engineers with Infrastructure experience for Metro and Regional projects.

ACCIONA delivers complex civil, transport and water infrastructure across metropolitan and regional Victoria. Our teams work on large multi discipline programs involving rail, roads, structures and water assets. These projects improve connectivity, resilience and liveability for communities across the state. We partner with clients and industry to apply technical expertise and sustainable construction practices.

About the Opportunity

As a Project Engineer, you will deliver work packages on ACCIONA projects across metro and regional Victoria. You will work with site teams, subcontractors, designers and the client to keep delivery safe, on program and within budget. You will resolve technical issues, track progress and report on cost, quality and safety. You will see how major infrastructure comes together, from planning through to construction, and build your technical and commercial skills on real projects. Your base is South Melbourne, with project work across the state.

Required Skills and Competencies

• You will have a tertiary education in civil engineering, construction or similar.
• Advanced programming & planning skills
• Experience in detailed planning of local roads with traffic signals
• Experience in planning in confined spaces.
• Excellent commercial acumen with confidence in managing contracts and forecasting
• Advanced communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff and clients
