Job summary

KENT Consumer Brands, APAC, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to own capital projects from concept to commissioning across our manufacturing network. You will coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, contractors, vendors and external engineering partners to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery aligned with business goals.

You will lead design activities, specify equipment and implement process integrations while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Are you an experienced Project Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of capital projects from concept through to commissioning? This is an opportunity to join KENT Consumer Brands, APAC and play a key role in delivering engineering projects that improve manufacturing capability, productivity, capacity and operational performance across our network.

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Project Engineer will lead the planning, delivery and successful handover of capital projects across manufacturing operations. You will coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, contractors, vendors and external engineering partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and aligned to business objectives.

What you'll be doing

Manage capital projects from concept, design and procurement through to installation, commissioning and closeout.

Develop project scopes, cost estimates, timelines, deliverables and success measures.

Lead engineering design activity, including equipment selection, technical specifications and process integration.

Coordinate vendors, contractors and engineering firms, including tendering, proposal review and field execution.

Oversee construction, installation and commissioning while minimising disruption to operations.

Partner with Operations, R&D, Quality and Finance to align projects with business priorities.

Support capital planning, business case development and long-term site capability planning.

Ensure safety, compliance, documentation, training and handover requirements are achieved.

Provide regular project updates, including risks, issues, milestones and mitigation plans.

About you

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing or a related discipline.

Experience in project engineering, capital project delivery or manufacturing engineering.

Demonstrated ability to manage projects end-to-end, including scope, budget, schedule and contractor coordination.

Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, equipment design, safety requirements and process integration.

Ability to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information for different audiences.

Strong ownership, accountability, collaboration and problem-solving capability.

Experience in food, consumer products or continuous manufacturing environments will be highly regarded.

Travel and work environment

This role may require approximately 25-40% travel depending on project activity and location, including site assessments, installation support, construction oversight, commissioning activity and vendor visits. Flexibility to support critical project phases, including occasional off-hours or weekend work, may be required.
