Job summary

SRG Global is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Utilities division for a water infrastructure project in Queensland. The ideal candidate has a Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering background with utilities project experience.

This permanent role offers long-term stability and opportunities for career growth within SRG Utilities. Key responsibilities include cost-effective construction methodologies, project finance tracking, stakeholder liaison, and QA/document

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering.
  • Experience in Utilities industry or water infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication and liaison skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to adapt to change and plan accordingly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure cost-effective construction methodologies and identify improvement areas.
  • Track project finances, review costs vs. budget, and highlight margin impacts.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and teams to resolve technical, commercial, and scheduling issues.
  • Understand project scope and identify contractual risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare variations, claims, and subcontract agreements.
  • Plan procurement activities, organise labour and equipment for supervisors.
  • Ensure materials and services meet QA requirements.
  • Develop ITPs/ITCs, monitor quality plans, and ensure compliance.
  • Assess risks, implement hazard controls, and support incident investigations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through pre-starts and toolbox talks.
  • Review CEMP and environmental procedures before work begins.
  • Maintain QA documentation, manage project closeout, and finalize defect claims.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Engineer to join our Utilities division in the deliver of a water infrastructure project in Queensland.

The ideal candidate should come with a Civil or Mechanical background, and have project experience in Water Infrastructure projects.

  • Sound skills in using Microsoft Office software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Pass a pre-employment medical and D&A
