Job summary

EMtek Pty Ltd. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Adelaide team.

You will lead multi-discipline design projects across the resources sector, working with a tight-knit engineering group to deliver concept through to operation on varied plant elements. The ideal candidate will have 4–8 years of multidiscipline engineering experience, exposure to mineral processing and materials handling, and strong communication skills to engage with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Management and ownership of multi-discipline design projects.

• Progress tracking, planning and scheduling.
• Facilitate and participate in design reviews.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers on plant element designs.
• Prepare technical engineering documents for project deliverables.
• Client site visits as required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Adelaide team for a motivated Project Engineer. You will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team to develop designs on various projects within the resource sector. Further to project responsibilities, this role poses a real opportunity for the right candidate to be involved in growth of the EMtek’s Team, becoming a key focal point for specific clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management and ownership of multi-discipline design projects.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including scope definition, procurement support, technical review and performance monitoring
• Scoping and proposal development.
• Progress tracking, planning and scheduling.
• Facilitate and participate in design reviews.
• Support and collaborate with highly skilled designers and engineers to develop designs for a wide range of plant elements.
• Prepare technical engineering documents as part of overall project engineering deliverables.
• Visits to client sites as required.

About you

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with a passion for discovery and a commitment to workplace wellbeing and safety. As part of a small, tight-knit team, strong relationship building, and communication skills will be critical in this role.

Skills and experience

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 4 - 8 years of engineering experience in a multidiscipline environment.
• Exposure to mineral processing, materials handling and process plant projects across greenfield and brownfield developments, encompassing design, construction support, commissioning and project engineering activities.
• Experience across varied types of commodities from copper, gold through to iron ore is favourable.
• Excellent organisational, communication, teamwork and time management skills.
• Technical aptitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think outside the box.
• Good presentation and communication skills at all levels.
• Demonstrated understanding of industry safety and environmental standards.
