Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Project Development Manager/Bid Lead to drive pre-contract and tender activities across SMP, E&I, Civil and multidisciplinary construction. You will lead end-to-end bid processes, coordinate engineering, estimating, procurement and commercial inputs, and deliver competitive, high-quality submissions to win major projects.

Based in Perth with occasional site travel, you will partner with operations, commercial and executive stakeholders to shape bid

• Coordinate engineering, estimating, procurement, commercial and operational inputs.
• Support pre-contract activities including tender reviews, commercial qualifications and contract negotiations.
• Identify and manage commercial, technical and delivery risks throughout the tender process.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients to support successful bid outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement across bid management processes, governance and tender delivery.

Job description

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Project Development Manager/Bid Lead to support pre-contract and tendering activities within our Engineering Construction (EC) division. Working across a diverse portfolio of SMP, E&I, Civil and multidisciplinary construction projects, you will lead the development of competitive, high-quality tenders that position Monadelphous for successful project delivery.

Partnering closely with operational leaders, engineering, estimating, commercial and executive stakeholders, you will drive bid strategy, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and oversee the end-to-end tender process. This role requires a commercially focused and outcomes-driven leader who can balance technical, operational and commercial requirements to deliver winning submissions across major resources, energy, renewables and infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience as a Bid Lead, Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer or similar within the Australian construction industry
• Demonstrated success leading complex tenders and securing major project opportunities
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and motivate multidisciplinary teams
• Experience across SMP construction, with exposure to E&I or Civil projects highly regarded
• Fabrication, modularisation or international project experience is highly desirable
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of construction delivery methodologies
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline
• Full Australian working rights
