Job summary

The Cabin Group is seeking a Project Delivery Manager in Mildura VIC to lead on-site delivery of modular building projects from plan to handover. You will work with the General Manager and leadership to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget, high-quality outcomes.

Your role includes supporting sales during development, delivering detailed delivery and safety plans, coordinating trades, scheduling, and managing materials and costs on site.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in building and construction or project management with a demonstrated high level of experience.
• Proven delivery and site management capability.
• Strong commercial and contract awareness.
• Ability to coordinate clients, designers, trades and suppliers.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Experience creating practical project delivery, safety and quality plans.
• Experience scheduling trades and managing subcontractors.
• Experience on project financial management.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site delivery of modular building projects from plan to handover.
• Support sales during development with pricing, costings and technical input.
• Develop detailed delivery plans, WHS plans, schedules and coordinate trades/subcontractors.
• Order materials, monitor costs and quality, provide site-based leadership.
• Create and monitor safety plans and foster a hazard-free working environment.
• Monitor contract compliance, evaluate subcontractor performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Balance risk and margin to protect project outcomes while meeting client needs.

ABOUT TCG

The Cabin Group (TCG) located in Buronga, 5 mins out of Mildura, is a manufacturer and supplier of modular buildings servicing southern NSW, north-west Victoria and eastern South Australia. We design and manufacture tailor made modular buildings to suit individual client requirements as well as pre‑designed packaged products for private, public, education and industrial customers, all based out of our large fully covered manufacturing facility just out of Mildura.

ABOUT THE ROLE

With the direct support of the General Manager and other key business leaders, this is your opportunity to take the lead on project delivery. Your contract and construction knowledge, organisational skills and on‑site presence will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget and to a high standard of quality.

You will support the sales team in preparing pricing, costings and technical support during the development phase, ensuring budgets are commercially sustainable. Once a project moves into delivery, you lead the way preparing detailed and practical project delivery plans, work health and safety plans, scheduling and coordinating trades and sub‑contractors, ordering materials, monitoring costs & quality and providing site‑based leadership.

Safety is central to the role. You will create and monitor safety plans, ensure safe construction practices on site and foster a culture where hazard reduction and worker wellbeing are front and centre.

You will have a solid understanding of contract management and will manage and be responsive to contract conditions , monitor compliance with specifications, evaluate sub‑contractor performance and close the feedback loop to drive continuous improvement. With sound commercial awareness, you will balance risk and opportunity to protect project margins while delivering outstanding results for our clients.

ABOUT YOU

You bring a solid understanding of construction practices, technical documents and drawings and the confidence to co‑ordinate trades, sub‑contractors and internal trade staff on site. You are organised, commercially aware and willing to work alongside the team on the ground when needed. You communicate effectively with clients, designers, trades, suppliers and senior business leaders, approaching problems with calm, solutions‑based thinking.

Ideally, we are seeking someone who has demonstrated:

Sound construction and building knowledge supported by qualifications in building and construction, project management, contract management or similar with a demonstrated high level of experience

Proven project delivery and site management capability

Developed commercial and contract acumen

The ability to work with our customers to ensure their needs are met

High level interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving skills

The ability to prepare effective and practical project delivery, safety and quality plans

Experience programme scheduling and coordinating trades, sub‑contractors and suppliers

Demonstrated experience in project financial management
