Job summary

Alfabs Group in Kurri Kurri, NSW, is seeking a Project Coordinator to join Alfabs Engineering on the shop floor. You will coordinate work, track progress and help keep projects moving from initiation to delivery.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will liaise with workshop teams, suppliers and clients, manage forecasts and timelines, drive procurement, and ensure data is entered into the system while supporting day-to-day production activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a structural steel production, manufacturing, or workshop environment.
• Ability to read and interpret steel fabrication drawings and symbols.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Confidence communicating with internal teams and external clients.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate, coordinate and assist with the successful delivery of projects safely and ‘Quality on Time’.
• Liaise with workshop teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to keep work on track.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer service and clear client communication.
• Ensure forecasts, timelines, expectations, and outcomes are effectively managed.
• Drive the procurement program with our key suppliers.
• Attend project tender reviews and handovers to provide input as required.
• Ensure all project data is entered into the relevant system.
• Support day-to-day workshop production activities where required.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the action — coordinating work on the floor, keeping projects moving, achieving quality outcomes and ensuring both the team and the client stay informed every step of the way.

About the Role
