Working closely with the Project Lead, you will coordinate project delivery, undertake systematic literature reviews, screen and analyse research evidence, and contribute to high-quality evidence syntheses and meta-analyses. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in projects that inform practice, strengthen evaluation, and help drive meaningful outcomes in student equity and success.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project activities, timelines, deliverables and resources to support successful project outcomes.
  • Work closely with the Project Lead, partners and stakeholders to define objectives, manage priorities and keep projects on track.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including work plans, business cases, reports, communication plans and evaluation materials.
  • Monitor budgets, milestones, risks and performance indicators, providing clear updates and recommendations as required.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, focus groups and project events to support collaboration and effective delivery.
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and screen academic papers against inclusion and exclusion criteria.
  • Extract, organise and interpret research data, including effect sizes, study quality and potential risk of bias.
  • Contribute to evidence syntheses, meta-analyses and summaries that inform practice and strengthen student equity outcomes.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with substantial experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage plans, timelines, resources and deliverables within agreed constraints.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Clear and confident written communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise project reports and communicate research findings.
  • Strong research, analytical and statistical skills, including experience identifying, appraising, extracting and interpreting evidence.
  • Experience conducting systematic reviews, evidence synthesis and/or meta-analyses, including screening, quality assessment and data extraction.
  • Sound judgement, problem‑solving ability and a collaborative approach, with desirable experience in tertiary education, impact evaluation, project management or providing evidence‑related advice and support.
Role Requirements
  • As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
  • Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
