Job summary

Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre is seeking a Project Coordinator – Engagement (Data and Technology) to support collaboration between lived experience leaders and the Data Connect + program. You will help coordinate recruitment, assist in consumer-led research activities, and work closely with the Senior Manager and Strategic Programs team.

The role focuses on building relationships, coordinating engagement processes, and supporting data collection and reporting to improve cancer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with community groups and building effective relationships.
• Background facilitating co-design or participatory approaches with lived experience leaders and researchers.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in project coordination and broad project management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (Teams, Asana, Zoom).

Responsibilities

• Support lived experience engagement practices with the Senior Manager of Consumer Involvement.
• Track project milestones, deliverables and key requirements with the Data Connect + team.
• Build trusted, respectful relationships across the project lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to improve data collection, collation and reporting.
• Promote harmonisation and identify opportunities for collaboration across leaders and researchers.

About the Opportunity

As Project Coordinator, Engagement (Data and Technology), you will provide essential coordination to support collaboration between lived experience leaders and the Data Connect + program. Working closely with the Senior Manager of Consumer Involvement and the wider Strategic Programs team, you will ensure the smooth implementation of effective practice and engagement across the program. Your responsibilities include serving as a key point of contact for lived experience leaders, coordinating a smooth recruitment process, and supporting the preparation and delivery of consumer-led research activities.

Responsibilities Include

• Working closely with the Senior Manager of Consumer Involvement to support and implement lived experience engagement practices
• Working alongside the Data Connect + team to track project-related milestones, deliverables and key requirements
• Building and sustaining trusted and respectful working relationships across the life of the project
• Identify potential process improvement opportunities, in relation to the collection, collation and analysis of data for reporting
• Promote harmonisation and be pro-active in identifying and optimising collaborative opportunities across different lived experience leaders and researchers
• Support the co-design and participatory processes, including planning, preparing and facilitating sessions that bring lived experience leaders and researchers together

About You

You will:

• Be experienced working alongside community groups and building effective working relationships
• Have a background supporting or facilitating co-design or participatory approaches, particularly supporting sessions where lived experience leaders and researchers work together
• Have exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to build strong working relationships through effective liaison and lived experience engagement
• Have experience in project coordination and a broad range of project management skills
• Have demonstrated experience working effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Asana, Zoom).
