Job summary

HBT GmbH is seeking a Project Coordinator for its Queensland operations. You will manage proposals, estimates, delivery, and reporting to ensure on-time, within-budget project outcomes in an underground mining environment.

This role emphasizes coordination, cost control, and stakeholder communication across multiple departments. Experience in underground mining, strong project management ability, and solid MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Underground mining experience essential.
• Developed project management skills including estimating, planning, delivery and reporting.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with integrity of complex quoting templates.
• Excellent numeracy and communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Managing the delivery of projects to ensure on time and within budget delivery.
• Preparing project reports to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Coordinating overhauls inspection plan ensuring contract variations are adequately proposed and planned for incorporation.
• Raising requisitions and POs for the procurement of parts.
• Managing and monitoring schedule, costs, and quality for subcontracts arrangements for the duration of the project.
• Monitoring costs as the project progresses.
• Managing and updating Gantt charts to generate reports for labor forecasting.
• Co-ordinating the completion, lodgment, and storage of Manufacturing Data Records (MDR).
• Preparing and developing tender proposals and estimates for projects.
• Preparing project planning documents for the execution of the project.
• Maintaining effective communication with HBT departments to ensure project resources are best managed and allocated to achieve timely completion of the project within budget.

HBT Services QLD is responsible for the overhauls of longwall machinery across QLD and operates under three (3) plants, being Overhauls, Gearbox repairs and Warehouse.

About the role:

The Project Coordinator is accountable for ensuring that all aspects of project coordination from proposals and estimates to delivery are managed effectively, delivering projects on time, within budget and to the appropriate specifications as agreed in scope.

The Project Coordinator's Key Responsibilities include:

About you:

Knowledge & Experience

• Underground Mining Experience essential.
• Developed Project Management skills and experience, including, estimating, planning, delivery and reporting preferably using MS Projects
• Strong commercial and financial acumen and ability to maintain the integrity of complex quoting templates.
• Excellent numeracy and communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong focus on safety.
