Job summary

Airservices Australia is seeking a Project Coordinator for the Fleet Program to coordinate and support the delivery of critical fleet projects that enhance aviation rescue firefighting capabilities across Australia.

Based in Melbourne or Brisbane, you will work with project managers, portfolio teams, internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and compliant with governance requirements.

Qualifications

The Role & The Team

As Project Coordinator within the Fleet Program, you'll play a pivotal role supporting the delivery of projects that invest in and modernise Airservices' critical fleet assets. Reporting to the Program Manager, you'll work closely with Project Managers, portfolio teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with organisational governance requirements.

Your day-to-day work will involve coordinating project activities, managing schedules and reporting, supporting procurement processes, tracking risks and issues, maintaining project documentation, facilitating governance activities, and ensuring key project milestones are achieved. You'll join the ARFFS NexGen and Environment Portfolio, a team committed to delivering projects that support better outcomes for our people, customers, industry and community

You are a proactive and organised project professional who enjoys bringing structure, coordination and momentum to complex projects. You thrive in collaborative environments, build strong stakeholder relationships, and can effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

The successful applicant will have:

• Demonstrated experience coordinating projects within structured governance frameworks.
• Experience supporting project planning, reporting, scheduling, procurement and financial activities.
• Strong ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks, impacts and practical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Project, Project Server and/or similar project management tools.
