Job summary

CitiPower and Powercor is seeking a detail-oriented Project Controller for the Urban Programs team, based at our Melbourne CBD head office. This full-time role partners with Project Delivery to manage forecasts, accruals, and cost variances across multiple projects, delivering reliable reporting for governance and decision-making.

Ideal candidates will have project accounting/controls experience in infrastructure or utilities, strong Excel skills, and experience with SAP and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly project forecasting, accruals and cost management to support accurate financial performance reporting.
• Monitor budgets, actual costs and forecasts, investigating variances and identifying emerging risks or opportunities.
• Maintain the integrity of project financial data across SAP and related project management systems.
• Analyse financial performance at project and program level and provide clear commentary and recommendations to support decisions.
• Apply project controls, governance and assurance processes to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy.
• Support audits, reviews, lessons learned and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Improve reporting processes and identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks.
