Job summary

ElectraNet is seeking a Project Controller based in Adelaide to provide cost and schedule controls across a portfolio of capital works and maintenance programs. You will develop integrated project schedules, manage budgets and forecast performance, and deliver variance analysis to support safe, efficient project delivery.

In this full-time role, you will build strong relationships with project managers and stakeholders, drive continuous improvement of controls systems, and contribute to tender

Qualifications

  • Experience in project controls.
  • Knowledge of project controls practices across engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and investigative capabilities.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project schedules and cost forecasts.
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to provide timely, practical and value-adding project advice.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience within electricity, utilities or infrastructure sector desirable.
  • Certificate in Project Management is desirable.
  • Current SA Driver's Licence or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules and critical path analysis.
  • Create and manage time-phased project budgets and resource forecasts.
  • Ensure alignment of WBS across project systems.
  • Monitor project costs, cashflow, forecasts and schedule performance.
  • Produce project reporting, including cost and schedule variance analysis.
  • Manage Earned Value reporting and performance measurement activities.
  • Support change management through impact and forecasting analysis.
  • Assist Project Managers in identifying project risks, contingencies and mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to maintenance portfolio budgeting and commercial performance analysis.
  • Support tender preparation through CBS and scheduling inputs.
  • Participate in project audits, closeout activities and asset capitalisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing and enhancing project controls methodologies, systems and reporting practices.
  • Build strong relationships across project, delivery, finance and operational teams.

The Opportunity

ElectraNet is seeking a Project Controller to provide project cost and schedule controls support across a diverse portfolio of capital works and maintenance programs. Working closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and analysing project schedules, budgets and performance data to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and successfully.

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented project controls professional who enjoys translating complex project data into meaningful insights and recommendations. You'll play an important role in forecasting project performance, identifying risks and opportunities, supporting business decision-making, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of project controls systems, processes and reporting.

Based in Adelaide, this full-time role will also cover the following key responsibilities:

About You

You are an analytical and solutions-focused project controls professional with experience supporting complex projects in a capital works, engineering, construction or infrastructure environment. You have a strong understanding of project scheduling, cost control and forecasting principles, along with the ability to communicate insights effectively to a range of stakeholders. You enjoy working collaboratively, thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by helping projects achieve successful outcomes.

  • Experience in project controls.
  • Knowledge of project controls practices across engineering or infrastructure projects.

  • Experience using SAP, Microsoft Project Professional and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to working within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • The ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of confidentiality.
  • Experience within the electricity, utilities or infrastructure sector will be highly regarded.
  • A Certificate in Project Management (desirable).
  • A current South Australian Driver's Licence, or the ability to obtain one.
