Job summary

Northern Beaches Council is seeking a Program Support Officer on a temporary, part-time basis (24 hours per week) for a 6-month contract. The role provides essential administrative support to the Place & Economic Development team and involves triaging requests, processing purchases orders, work orders and invoices, and ensuring smooth operations.

You will be the friendly point of contact for the business unit, enabling projects to move forward and maintaining organised information.

Job description

Title: Program Support Officer,Temporary - Part-time Role, 24 hours per week (6-month contract)

Salary Range: $77,285.31 to $89,818.38(on a pro-rata basis) per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

The Planning and Place Division is responsible for a range of functions which support the whole of Council to deliver high-quality services to our Northern Beaches bushland, rural and coastal community. The division comprises of Development Assessment, Strategic and Place Planning, Place & Economic Development and Environmental Compliance.
The Place & Economic Development team is responsible for a range of activities including business support, activations and driving a thriving local economy.

Our opportunity:

The key focus areas of this role include:

1. Act as point of contact for the business unit, including triaging and directing requests and enquiries, creating requests and where appropriate preparing responses.
2. Undertake the day-to-day administration related to the financial operations of the unit, including creating, finalising and monitoring purchases orders, work orders and invoices.
3. Ensure overall operations of the business unit through organising unit supplies (e.g. stationery, uniforms) and equipment to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the unit.
