Job summary

Relationships Australia NSW is seeking a Program Support Worker to supervise 2-hour visits between a parent and child, with weekly or fortnightly sessions. Join a team addressing complex needs including DFV, mental health, and substance use, while maintaining neutrality and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are required.
• Experience supervising high-risk family interactions, especially DFV, mental health, or substance use.
• Awareness of the impacts of separation and domestic violence on children and families.
• Strong administrative skills and high-level case note writing, preferably trauma-informed.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm and professional intake experience for new families.
• Elicit, model and foster appropriate parenting behaviours between children and carers.
• Deliver parenting and child development education in a strengths-based, culturally sensitive way.
• Support the casual pool on Saturdays and build leadership skills toward a senior role.
