Job summary

Aurec Human Capital Group is seeking a Program Scheduler for a Defence ICT initiative in Canberra. You will own a detailed Master Schedule across up to 11 active projects, ensuring critical path clarity and cross-project interdependencies. The role focuses on proactive risk mitigation and clear executive reporting.

The contract runs until 30 December 2026 with extension options, predominantly onsite in Canberra, ACT. NV1 security clearance is a requirement for this environment.

Qualifications

  • Technical toolkit includes MS Project, ServiceNow, and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience creating and maintaining large-scale Program Integrated Master Schedules in ICT or Defence environments.
  • Strong capability in producing executive-level schedule reporting and managing multi-level stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Build, review, and maintain a detailed Program Integrated Master Schedule across multiple projects.
  • Develop and manage the Critical Path, event migration schedules, and integrated program-wide views.
  • Identify schedule risks, variances, and mitigations in collaboration with the Program Manager.
  • Engage with project managers and technical teams to maintain schedule accuracy and expectations.
  • Produce schedule reporting including S-curves and executive board presentations.

About the Opportunity

  • Take ownership of a complex master schedule across up to 11 active projects, playing a pivotal role in optimising operational efficiency and delivering critical path visibility

Role & Responsibilities
  • Build, review, and maintain a detailed Program Integrated Master Schedule encompassing milestones, key activities, and cross-project interdependencies

  • Develop and manage the Critical Path, event migration schedules, and integrated program-wide views to ensure delivery

  • Proactively identify and communicate schedule risks, variances, and mitigations in close collaboration with the Program Manager

  • Manage multi-level stakeholder expectations and engage proactively with project managers and technical teams to maintain schedule accuracy

  • Produce clear, consumable program schedule reporting-including S-curves and executive board presentations-to facilitate decision-making

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:

  • Technical Toolkit: Advanced proficiency in MS Project, ServiceNow, and Agile delivery methodologies

  • Experience: Proven track record in creating and maintaining large-scale Program Integrated Master Schedules within complex ICT or Defence environments

  • Core Capabilities: Strong collaborative problem-solving skills with demonstrated capability in producing executive-level schedule reporting and managing multi-level stakeholder relationships

  • Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current NV1 security clearance.
