Job summary

McAuley College Beaudesert invites a Program Leader (Professional Practice) to inspire teaching and learning, supervise staff, and drive continuous improvement across the college. The role leads a designated program and aligns with BCE values and the college’s Mercy tradition.

The position requires Catholic commitment, leadership experience in education, strong planning skills, and the ability to build partnerships with external organisations. Start Jan 2027; 30 hours/week; salary range applies.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the appointment period.
• Be a committed, practicing Catholic (or ecumenical context), aligned with the school’s faith traditions.
• Experience in school leadership or supporting Catholic schools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead academic, cultural, outreach, or sporting programs.
• Proven ability to supervise and support teaching staff across a school.
• Strong organisational skills to coordinate program logistics, resources and operations.
• Excellent communication with students, parents, staff and external partners.
• Capacity to build partnerships with external organisations to enhance outcomes.
• Commitment to the values and ethos of the school.
• Ability to lead professional learning aligned with current best practices and research.
• Active contribution to school leadership and meetings.
• Competence in managing budgets and material resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead the designated program in the school.
• Supervise teachers engaged in the program across the school.
• Induct new teachers within the program.
• Monitor program outcomes and address areas of concern.
• Coordinate work of staff delivering the program, aligned with school ethos.
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders to ensure smooth operation.
• Organise program activities, resources, transport, and personnel.
• Stay abreast of best practice and provide professional learning.
• Contribute to school leadership through meetings.
• Manage budgets and allocated resources.
