Job summary

AFTRS is seeking a Program Convenor for the Graduate Diploma of Screen. You will provide academic leadership, coordinate curriculum and delivery, and ensure quality outcomes while aligning with industry practices.

The role involves governance, staff onboarding and collaboration across academic and production teams. You will lead the establishment of the new program, manage budgets, and drive student success through comprehensive support and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree or equivalent experience in relevant field.
• Demonstrated academic leadership in curriculum delivery, governance and quality processes.
• Strong people leadership experience in higher education or creative education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and delivery of Graduate Diploma of Screen to meet learning outcomes and quality standards.
• Lead recruitment, induction and ongoing support for teaching staff and ensure consistent delivery standards.
• Coordinate program planning, budgeting, production activities and staffing within AFTRS governance parameters.
• Monitor student experience, assessment, progression and course-level feedback under AFTRS policies.
• Develop and maintain industry partnerships to keep the program current with industry practices.
