Job summary

Victorian Government seeks a Program Director, Infrastructure and Governance to lead the offshore wind energy program's governance and delivery, reporting to the Executive Director. The role requires senior leadership experience in governance, risk management and strategic planning within government or industry, with strong stakeholder engagement across agencies and partners.

The position is fixed-term to 30 June 2030, based in Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

Significant experience leading governance, program management or major infrastructure initiatives within government or industry.
Deep expertise in infrastructure program delivery, governance frameworks, risk management and strategic planning.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across government agencies, delivery partners and senior executives.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with proactive risk identification and mitigation.
Proven leadership building high-performing teams and delivering outcomes in dynamic environments.
Understanding of major infrastructure delivery and energy landscapes; offshore wind experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic governance for the offshore wind program and ensure alignment with enabling infrastructure.
Lead program management activities and oversee delivery risk management and decision-making processes.
Engage with multiple stakeholders across government, industry partners and senior executives to drive outcomes.
Build and lead high-performing teams capable of operating in ambiguous settings and delivering results.
Remain abreast of Victorian and national energy landscapes to inform program direction and governance.
