Job summary

Department of Education in Western Australia is seeking a Program Coordinator to provide educational leadership within the school and community, developing and promoting the school vision, and encouraging staff and volunteers to share ownership of goals.

You will lead a team in implementing a whole-school approach to student wellbeing and outcomes, oversee operations, mentoring, and management, and play a key role in identifying and monitoring students at educational risk.

Qualifications

• Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
• Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number.

• In collaboration with members of the Senior Leadership team, you will ideally be a highly productive and influential team member who provides educational leadership in the school and the community by developing and promoting the school vision and encouraging school staff, volunteers from the community and others to share ownership of the school’s vision and goals.
• As the Program Coordinator, you will undertake a leadership role across the school in developing and implementing a whole school approach to student wellbeing and improving student outcomes.
• In this role you will oversee the work of a dedicated team in an operational, mentoring, and managerial role.
• As part of your role, you may be responsible for: identifying, planning and monitoring students at educational risk.

What you need

• hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
• consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
