Job summary

Drug ARM, a not-for-profit organisation delivering alcohol and other drug services across Queensland, seeks a CAFSS Program Coordinator based in Brisbane. The role manages the Community and Family Support Service program, supervising volunteers and students and coordinating assessments, treatment planning and brief interventions.

You will work within harm minimisation principles, develop group interventions, and build relationships with universities and service providers to support referral

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent is required.
• Current Blue Card is required to work with AOD clients.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students and volunteers and support their learning in delivering AOD assessments, treatment planning and brief interventions.
• Maintain a schedule of appointments for people to access the service.
• Work within a harm minimisation framework and apply contemporary evidence-based treatment for people accessing AOD services.
• Ensure appropriate level of intervention based on risk and identified need.
• Develop and implement effective group intervention options as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with universities and private colleges and service providers for referral pathways.
