Job summary

Everpure seeks a Designated Services Engineer (DSE) for FlashArray in Melbourne. You will act as the primary technical anchor for high-value enterprise accounts, owning end-to-end outcomes and driving peak performance across FlashArray deployments.

You will partner with Support Account Managers, Tech Support, and Engineering to maximize system availability, coordinate upgrades, and resolve complex issues, all while maintaining strong customer relationships and a high-touch service approach.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of deep technical mastery of enterprise block storage architectures (SAN, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NVMe-oF).
• Experience with Linux/Windows operating systems and core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, routing).
• Proven ability to investigate, isolate, and resolve complex FlashArray issues under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own dedicated customer outcomes and drive end-to-end case ownership.
• Perform root-cause analysis and complex troubleshooting for enterprise deployments.
• Coordinate software upgrades, maintenance, and change control with customer teams.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to improve escalation processes and KB resources.
• Willingness to travel 5–10% to customer sites when needed.

THE ROLE

As a Designated Services Engineer (DSE) focused on FlashArray, you will serve as the single, dedicated technical anchor for high-value enterprise accounts utilizing our Business Critical Services. Moving beyond a shared support queue, you will directly own customer relationships and complex end-to-end technical outcomes for Pure's flagship FlashArray platform. In close partnership with Support Account Managers, Technical Support Engineers, and Engineering teams, you will drive operational excellence, maximize system availability, and ensure clients achieve peak performance from their storage environments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own Dedicated Customer Outcomes: Serve as the trusted technical authority for assigned enterprise accounts, driving end-to-end case ownership, leading critical escalation calls, and securing long-term account health and satisfaction across FlashArray deployments.

Solve High-Impact Technical Challenges: Perform root-cause analysis and complex troubleshooting across FlashArray hardware, Purity operating environments, network connectivity, and performance anomalies to deliver definitive resolutions for enterprise clients.

Proactively Protect System Stability: Coordinate critical software upgrades, maintenance, and change control procedures directly with customer engineering teams to eliminate downtime and operational risk.

Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Support Account Managers and internal escalation engineering to streamline issue resolution, refine support processes, and contribute knowledge-base resources to elevate team-wide FlashArray expertise.

WHAT YOU BRING

FlashArray & Enterprise Storage Expertise: 5-10 years of experience in deep technical mastery of enterprise block storage architectures (SAN, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NVMe-oF), Linux/Windows operating systems, and core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, routing).

Advanced System Troubleshooting: Proven ability to investigate, isolate, and resolve complex issues surrounding FlashArray replication, capacity, availability, and performance under pressure.

High-Touch Stakeholder Communication: Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills, with the emotional intelligence required to manage high-stakes customer relationships and de-escalate sensitive incidents effectively.

Autonomous Execution & Ownership: Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the self-direction to manage competing priorities independently while fostering collaborative relationships across global teams.

Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel 5–10% on customer sites as needed for account alignment, critical escalations, or reviews.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Melbourne office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
