Job summary

Everpure seeks a Technical Design Architect to bridge innovative solutions and customer success across ANZ. You will scope, sell, and implement strategic data infrastructure projects, translating business needs into powerful technical outcomes.

You will lead design, migration, replication, and clustering efforts, collaborating with Sales, Engineering, and Service teams to deliver large-scale Professional Services. This role requires strong architecture experience and customer-facing expertise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technical experience; 5+ years as SME/solutions architect in ANZ.
• Expert knowledge of storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, SAN) and DR technologies.
• Proficiency in automation tooling and scripting with Python, Ansible, Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical scoping, design, and delivery of complex professional services.
• Act as high-level technical consultant to sales and customers.
• Develop automation solutions to integrate Pure Storage into customer environments.
• Advise on DR/BCP standards and data migrations.
• Contribute technical content to RFPs/RFQs.

THE ROLE

You will be the vital technical bridge between our innovative solutions and customer success, utilizing deep technical expertise to drive sales and deliver complex Professional Services across the ANZ. As a Technical Design Architect, you will work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Service teams, becoming a trusted advisor who scopes, sells, and implements strategic solutions for our customers' most challenging data infrastructure problems. Your mission is to translate business needs into powerful, real-world technical outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Design and Deliver Strategic Solutions: Lead the technical scoping, design, and hands‑on delivery of complex, large‑scale Professional Services solutions, focusing on data migration, replication, and clustering for homogeneous and heterogeneous environments.
• Drive Pre- and Post-Sales Technical Strategy: Act as a high-level technical consultant to both internal sales teams and external customers, participating in customer evaluations and Proofs of Concept (POCs) to ensure our solutions meet future business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
• Automate and Optimize Customer Environments: Develop and implement scripting and automation solutions (e.g., in Python or for APIs) to seamlessly integrate Pure Storage into a customer’s operational environment and streamline data migration and replication processes.
• Influence Technical Direction and Standards: Advise sales and engineering on emerging developments and best practices in replication, clustering, and data migrations, ensuring solutions are aligned with industry-leading DR/BCP standards and client needs.
• Serve as a Technical Expert and Collaborator: Leverage your deep understanding of IT architecture, networking, and cloud offerings to present targeted, architecture‑level solutions, and contribute significant technical content to critical sales documents (RFPs, RFQs).

What You Bring

• 10+ years of overall technical experience and 5+ years as an SME / solutions architect in ANZ. Expert‑level Storage and Data Management: Proven, in‑depth knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, SAN, etc.) and significant experience with replication, clustering, and disaster recovery technologies (e.g., Zerto, Veeam, Veritas).
• Proficiency in Automation and Scripting: Demonstrated ability to develop and apply scripting for system integrations and process automation, particularly using Python, Ansible, and Terraform with APIs.
• Advanced Platform and OS Experience: Extensive experience with managing and integrating systems on various operating systems, including Windows, AIX, and Linux, and familiarity with VMWare ESX (SRM) and Hyper‑V environments.
• Complex Solution Architecture: A strong background in data center migrations/consolidations and the ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., Nexus, ACI) and multi‑vendor server/storage platforms to design and implement complex, highly performant technical solutions.
• Consultative Communication and Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and persuasive communications, with a creative and highly adaptable approach to solving technical challenges in a customer‑facing role.

We are primarily an in‑office environment; you will be expected to work from the Sydney / Melbourne office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave
