Job summary

Opella is seeking a Production Team Leader to guide night shift operations in Brisbane. You will lead production teams to meet daily and weekly plans, ensure safety, quality and compliance while building a positive, capable team.

You will coach, analyse data and drive continuous improvement, fostering collaboration across shifts and embedding sustainability and social impact into daily decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in manufacturing/production environments.
• Strong problem-solving with practical solutions.
• Ability to analyse performance data to drive improvements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments advantageous.
• Qualifications in manufacturing/operations/engineering are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support production teams to achieve daily and weekly production plans while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and compliance.
• Conduct regular one-to-one conversations with team members for feedback, coaching and development.
• Investigate operational issues, identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor, analyse and report on performance data and trends to improve productivity, quality and operational outcomes.
• Build team capability through training, development planning and compliance with training requirements.
• Foster open and proactive communication across shifts, encouraging collaboration, engagement and knowledge sharing.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and act quickly to resolve issues impacting production performance, safety or quality.

As a Production Team Leader, you will lead production teams on shift to safely deliver operational plans while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and performance. • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Relevant qualifications in manufacturing, operations, engineering or a related field are beneficial but not essential.
