Job summary

Riverina Fresh Pty Ltd is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Wagga Wagga site to lead morning shift Operators and Pasteuriser teams. You will oversee health and safety, quality systems, and production targets, while driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency in a fast-paced dairy environment.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in FMCG/manufacturing, strong people management, and familiarity with ERP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in FMCG or manufacturing sector
• Strong organisational, analytical and decision-making skills

• Knowledge of QA and food safety requirements

• Flexibility to adjust working hours
• Manufacturing supervisory experience preferred

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join the Wagga Wagga Production team. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, Wagga Wagga, this role collaborates with Production and Quality Assurance teams to produce safe, high-quality dairy products for our customer partners. The Production Supervisor coordinates and supervises production requirements to attain key manufacturing targets. You will be responsible for operational leadership for morning shift Operators and Pasteuriser teams at our Wagga Wagga Manufacturing facility. Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Key responsibilities

• Ensuring Health, Safety and Wellbeing systems and procedures are implemented, maintained and monitored
• Ensuring Quality and Food Safety systems and procedures are implemented, maintained and monitored
• Ensuring Environmental Safety systems and procedures are implemented, maintained and monitored
• Meeting agreed production plans, schedules and targets
• Maximising plant efficiency and process capability
• Verification of food safety and operational documentation and records
• Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Minimising waste and production costs
• Supervising the performance and development of Production employees
• Providing safety leadership which focuses on a healthy working environment for all team members and contractors

About you

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a FMCG organisation or other relevant manufacturing industry
• High level of organisational skills, ability to analyse information, make appropriate decisions and problem-solve in a fast paced, time critical environment
• Ability to build rapport with peers through great communication (both written and verbal) and role modelling behaviour
• High degree of attention to detail
• Strong people management and influencing skills
• Good understanding of Quality and food safety requirements
• Good digital skills with working knowledge of Microsoft suite and ERP systems
• Flexibility to adjust work hours as required
• Previous manufacturing supervisory experience (preferred but not essential)
• Food technology, dairy science or another relevant degree/diploma (preferred but not essential)
