Job summary

Keith's Quality Foods on the Gold Coast is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee shift production activities and lead the production team.

You will ensure HACCP, GMP and WHS compliance, manage attendance and training, coordinate changeovers, monitor quality and safety, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate shift production activities
• Advanced setup and breakdown of machinery and equipment across production lines, including changeovers and troubleshooting
• Lead, support, and allocate tasks to production team members
• Ensure production follows recipes, specifications, schedules, HACCP, GMP, WHS and food safety requirements
• Monitor product quality, production processes, and equipment, addressing issues promptly
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and housekeeping across the production area
• Manage staff attendance, performance, training, and day-to-day team requirements
• Communicate production, quality, safety, and staffing issues to management
• Complete production documentation and checks including weights, temperatures, appearance, consistency, labelling, packing, and presentation
• Lead by example and promote a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and quality

Job description

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing shift production activities, supporting and leading the production team and ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate shift production activities

About you

Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Team Leader, Leading Hand, or similar food manufacturing role

Understanding of HACCP, GMP, WHS, food safety, and quality requirements

Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse production team

Excellent communication, positive attitude and ability to build strong working relationships

Reliable, punctual, professional, and accountable

Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise tasks and make effective decisions in a fast-paced production environment

Ability to work hands-on in a physically demanding manufacturing environment

Commitment to work morning shifts starting at 5am, Monday to Friday or as required
