Job summary

James Hardie Building Products is seeking a Production Planner to support the scheduling process, align with Production, Maintenance, and Sales, and maintain accurate SAP-driven data. This role emphasizes inventory control and timely reporting to aid decision-making.

You will coordinate across multiple teams, ensure adherence to schedules, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives while working at our Carole Park site in Queensland.

Qualifications

  • Certificate, Diploma or tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
  • Relevant training in production planning, inventory management, ERP systems or business administration will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in a production support, planning coordination, administration, inventory control or manufacturing support role.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation, maintenance and communication of production schedules to meet customer demand and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Sales teams to communicate schedule changes and coordinate planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate production, inventory, and planning data within SAP and other systems, ensuring reporting accuracy and data integrity.
  • Monitor schedule adherence, inventory levels and stock availability, escalating potential risks or issues to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and participate in stock takes, cycle counts and inventory reconciliation activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare production, inventory, and performance reports to support operational decision-making.
  • Participate in daily operational meetings and contribute to continuous improvement, safety and compliance initiatives.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the ANZ Planning Manager, this role will support the production planning process by maintaining production schedules, coordinating production and inventory activities, and ensuring accurate system data and reporting.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience ina productionsupport, planning coordination, administration, inventorycontrolor manufacturing support role.
  • Experience within a manufacturing,industrialor operational environmentpreferred.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skillsand experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.
  • Experiencemaintainingrecords,reportsand operational datawith high attention to detailanda focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate tasks across multiple stakeholders and functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
