Job summary

SMC Corporation Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Production Engineer to introduce and improve processes, systems and methods in production while ensuring safety, quality and cost efficiency. The role coordinates design changes, supports production and customer service and provides technical support to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include optimizing designs for manufacturability, developing technical documentation, improving processes, and conducting root cause analysis

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years in engineering in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Ability to read and understand detailed drawings, IPTs and specs.
• Knowledge of environmental and sustainability practices in Australian manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Review designs with Design Engineering to improve manufacturability and error-proofing.
• Develop technical documentation including assembly/inspection instructions.
• Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Education

Bachelor of Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering
