Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to join an established manufacturing operation in Australia. You’ll drive Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and operational excellence on the factory floor, collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Production teams to embed sustainable improvements.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in process improvement, Lean or continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of an operational excellence framework across the site.
• Apply Lean principles to eliminate waste and improve process performance.
• Implement standard work, visual management and other Lean practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and operational performance.
• Analyse operational data and KPIs to identify performance gaps and root causes.
• Facilitate structured problem-solving and corrective actions.
• Track improvement initiatives to ensure changes are effective and sustainable.
• Prepare KPI reports, improvement updates and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders.
