Job summary

Thales in Mulwala is seeking a waste materials operator to support propellants and munitions production with a focus on safety and environmental compliance. You will handle waste streams, operate a waste burning system, and troubleshoot plant issues while working within a small, cohesive team.

The role emphasizes learning, problem solving, and clear documentation, with computer-controlled plant operations central to daily duties. Applicants must be able to work in a team and adhere to procedures.

• Picking up of waste material from different sections and prepare waste to be burned.
• Feeding of cups of waste into the waste burning system.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance is met.
• Input into troubleshooting of plant issues as required.
• Work in a team environment.

Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems.
