Job summary

SDI Limited is seeking a Production Operator in Bayswater. You will ensure tasks are completed efficiently within set timeframes, operate equipment, and perform weighing of ingredients while upholding GMP standards. You will contribute to maintaining a safe, compliant production environment aligned with SDI’s values.

The role requires hands-on manufacturing experience, good numeracy and communication skills, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a busy production setting.

Qualifications

• Proven manufacturing experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of GMP in manufacturing.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to production processes.
• Proactive with issue resolution and process improvement mindset.
• Basic computer skills and good numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work is completed to GMP standards and within allocated time.
• Perform weighing and measuring of ingredients.
• Conduct daily process area cleaning to maintain GMP compliance.
• Operate equipment and carry out process activities with lean manufacturing mindset.
• Raise concerns relating to quality, GMP breaches or safety policies.
• Apply LEAN principles to achieve optimal performance.

Summary of Role

The Production Operator is responsible for:

• Ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently within the allocated timeframe
• Conducting work in a safe manner and demonstrating a strong commitment to SDI’s values of passion, accountability, respect, teamwork and innovation.

Specific Responsibilites

• Ensures that all work is done according to the highest standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Participates in required training/understanding SOPs, GMP, OHS and 5S
• Performs accurately weighing and measuring of ingredients
• Performs daily process area cleaning to maintain company compliance and GMP standards
• Operates equipment and carries out process activities with a lean manufacturing mindset to manufacture product to agreed quality, time and cost specifications
• Raising concerns or issues that may relate to poor Quality, non-compliance with GMP or breaches of safety policies or SDI’s values.
• Applies LEAN principles within the workplace to achieve optimum levels of performance.

Essential Experience

Proven manufacturing experience in either a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment
