This hands-on role covers people, safety, quality and delivery, with autonomy across weekend shifts and close collaboration with leadership, planning, quality and maintenance.
You’ll drive safe production, coach leaders, manage attendance and ensure clear handovers, while applying continuous improvement and robust reporting.
Grain & Bake Co is a proudly Australian-owned and operated family business specialising in muesli, clusters and nutritional snacks.
We partner with leading food brands and customers to deliver quality products, dependable service and practical solutions. From product development through to manufacturing and delivery, we work collaboratively to understand what our customers need and bring their ideas to life.
We’re looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our teams, strengthen operational performance and support our growing manufacturing operations.
This is a hands‑on role with responsibility for people, safety, quality and production delivery. Clear communication is essential—you’ll connect teams across shifts, maintain consistent expectations and ensure priorities and issues carry through every handover.
You’ll have considerable autonomy, particularly on weekends, making sound decisions across operational and people matters while working closely with leadership, planning, quality and maintenance.
Your regular working week will be 38 hours across four days:
You’re a proactive, well‑organised leader who brings a balanced approach to people and production. You stay composed under pressure, make considered decisions and follow through on commitments.
You understand the different needs of day, afternoon and night shifts and can adapt your leadership approach while maintaining consistent standards.
Experience in Lean manufacturing and measurable improvements to OEE, downtime or waste will be highly regarded.
You’ll join a growing Australian family business where your contribution will have a visible impact.
We’re ambitious about where we’re going, but practical in how we get there. We value people who take ownership, look for solutions and turn good ideas into action.
You’ll work closely with decision‑makers and have the opportunity to develop our people, strengthen how our shifts work together and improve how we manufacture.
We help leading food brands bring their ideas to life through solutions, collaboration and a passion for quality.
