Job summary
JDS Metal Doorframe Solutions is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to coordinate manufacturing operations on the factory floor in Epping VIC. You will oversee job progress, ensure production targets and delivery deadlines are met, and work closely with the Production and Sales teams to resolve bottlenecks.
A strong background in sheet metal fabrication, welding, CNC laser cutting, and brake pressing is essential.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in production management or production coordination in metal fabrication/manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and general manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job documentation.
- Experience coordinating production schedules and meeting delivery deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple manufacturing jobs from start to finish and ensure delivery
- Allocate priorities and monitor progress with production teams
- Monitor material availability and bottlenecks to minimise delays
- Review drawings and specs to ensure requirements are understood
- Communicate progress and delivery schedules to management
- Maintain safe, organised workplace and comply with safety standards
- Assist with fabrication and assembly tasks as needed (training provided)
