Job summary

Horner Recruitment in Sydney Balmain is seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead flagship exhibition projects from concept to installation and handover.

You will manage 10-20 projects, coordinate suppliers, manage quotes and budgets, and keep programs on time and on budget. This hands-on role rewards leadership, strong supplier networks and a collaborative small-business environment with weekend/event travel as required.

Qualifications

• At least two years' production or project management experience within the exhibitions industry.
• Established network of exhibition suppliers, contractors, venues and organisers.
• Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong estimating, quoting, budgeting and supplier-management skills.
• Knowledge of exhibition builds, large-format graphics, artwork specs and AV.
• Confident on-site management of trades and suppliers.
• Calm, organised and solutions-focused approach.
• Leadership or mentoring experience is highly regarded.

Take the Lead on Standout Exhibition Projects

An established Sydney exhibition project management business is looking for an experienced Senior Production Manager to join its close-knit team.

Working with global and market-leading brands, you'll manage exhibition stand projects from approved concept through to installation and client handover.

This is a senior, hands-on opportunity for someone who understands the exhibition industry, has strong supplier relationships and can confidently manage multiple projects at once.

The Role

Managing approximately 10-20 projects at different stages, you will:

• Prepare quotes, budgets and production schedules
• Source and coordinate builders, AV, furniture, graphics, signage, rigging and other suppliers
• Manage purchase orders, artwork specifications and production documentation
• Keep projects on time, on budget and moving smoothly
• Oversee interstate installations, trades and onsite delivery
• Manage client handovers to a high standard
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve systems and processes
• Support and mentor other team members as required

About You

You'll bring:

• Strong estimating, quoting, budgeting and supplier-management skills
• Knowledge of exhibition builds, large-format graphics, artwork specifications and AV
• Confidence managing trades and suppliers onsite
• Strong Microsoft Office and administration skills
• A calm, organised and solutions-focused approach

Previous leadership or mentoring experience will be highly regarded. You'll also be someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly and enjoys working in a collaborative, hands-on small-business environment.

The role is based in Balmain from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Interstate travel and weekend work are required during event periods, with time off in lieu provided.
