Job summary

BlueScope's Western Sydney Service Centre in Erskine Park, NSW, is recruiting Production Line Operators (COLORBOND®) for a 12-hour, 5-day rotating day and night shift roster.

No steel experience is required as full training is provided; you will operate machinery, monitor quality, and help maintain safety, with base pay around AU$68,000 plus allowances. Entry package AU$97,892 per year.

The Opportunity

Our Western Sydney Service Centre is looking for Production Line Operators (COLORBOND®)in our manufacturing team based in Erskine Park, NSW. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers. Our Erskine Park facility is underway with a significant capital project (circa $415 million investment) to expand our operations and create additional metal coating capacity, to service the Sydney market and support the production of premium branded products, such as ZINCALUME® and TRUECORE®.

You will receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of this role allowing for future career development opportunities.

Opportunities exist on 12-hour, 5-day rotating day and night shift roster, generaly Monday to Friday with some Sunday work required.

The entry level remuneration starts at $97,892 annualised salary package- this includes abase pay of $68,000 per year, plus shift allowances, public holiday payments and pre-paid overtime.

What Will You Do?

Working in a continuousproductionenvironment, your role will be to operatea production line, whilemonitoring product quality andremaining committed toyour own safety and that of your team.Working within a collaborative team environment, you’ll receive ongoing training and support. You will:

• successfully contribute to a safe working environment
• operating machinery to manufacturesteel products
• safely pack and strap our steel products
• performing basic machinery maintenance and cleaning
• be trained to use overhead gantry cranes and drive forklifts

Recruitment Process
