Job summary

Thiess is seeking a Production Leading Hand for the Eva Copper Mine Project, Cloncurry region, Queensland. You will lead a mining crew, support the Production Supervisor, and ensure safe, efficient production operations.

Ideal candidates have Step-Up Supervisor experience in open-cut hard rock mining, strong leadership, and relevant mining qualifications. FIFO/DIDO arrangements apply, with a competitive salary package and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Step-Up Supervisor or Leading Hand in open-cut hard rock mining preferred.
• Solid understanding of open-cut mining operations.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with a motivational approach.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Current S123 and G2 certifications.
• Current Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead a mining crew to meet production targets safely and efficiently.
• Step up as supervisor when required.
• Perform inspections and complete reports per site policies.
• Coordinate operators and equipment to meet production schedules.
• Apply mining practices to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
