Job summary

The Standard Market Company in Southport is seeking a motivated Chef to join our Production Kitchen team. This full-time role provides 38 hours per week, with hours 9:30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, at Ferry Road Markets.

You will support the production kitchen in creating high-quality salads and take-home meals, ensure HACCP compliance, hygiene, and timely delivery across our three locations. Ideal candidates bring experience in large food production facilities, strong organisational skills, and

Qualifications

• Experience in a large food production facility or commercial kitchen.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Production Kitchen team in producing quality salads and take-home meals.
• Execute standard recipes with high attention to detail and consistency.
• Maintain correct PPE, hygiene and sanitising procedures.
• Follow packaging and transfer procedures to ensure on-time delivery and HACCP compliance.
• Oversee and mentor junior staff in a respectful, constructive manner.
