Job summary

Pipemakers in Western Australia is seeking a Production Engineer to lead project delivery, oversee plant maintenance and drive Lean improvement while reinforcing a strong safety culture on the shop floor. This role reports to the General Manager and partners with operations and factory management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent trade qualifications.
• Experience in project leadership and WHS functions in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from pre-initiation through planning to close-out within scope, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate teams, contractors, vendors and clients, tracking milestones and bottlenecks.
• Drive production improvements and reduce waste with Lean manufacturing principles.
• Introduce and manage plant and project maintenance using MEX; build data for future planning.
• Develop and continually improve safety systems, policies and procedures; maintain documentation.
• Support WHS governance, site audits and root-cause analysis of incidents.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and safety training with the Safety Administrator; use ComplyFlow for compliance tracking.
