ARB 4x4 Accessories is expanding its engineering team in Kilsyth, Victoria. We search two Production Engineers – Fabrication to design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for metal fabrication, sheet metal, and assembly.

You will support new product introductions and lifecycle improvements for ARB’s aftermarket products. The role offers hands-on involvement, partner collaboration, and growth opportunities within a globally recognized Australian brand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering or NPI environments.
• Experience with metal fabrication processes (cutting, bending, welding, CNC).

Job description

Due to continued business growth and expanding product development activities, we are seeking to appoint two Production Engineers – Fabrication to join our Engineering team and support the delivery of new products, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Role Overview

The Production Engineer – Fabrication is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and documentation in alignment with internal best practices. This role enables the successful introduction of new products and services to both internal and external customers.

In addition, the position provides ongoing support for existing ARB-branded aftermarket products throughout the later stages of their lifecycle, including those developed across global operations.

The role is multi-faceted and involves a range of activities that include product & process innovation and process development.

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Manufacturing/Industrial) or Trade Qualified in a relevant mechanical discipline (tool making, mechanical fitting, sheet metal, boiler making).
• Proven success in a similar manufacturing engineering role, supported by at least 5 years of relevant experience in production, process development, or new product introduction environments.
• Extensive experience in process design and development for metal fabrication, sheet metal & assembly manufacturing techniques (cutting, bending, pressing, welding, CNC Machining).
• Experience with CAD design (Jigs & Fixtures) and document control (preferably SolidWorks).
• Proven experience in new product development, manufacturing process design, production launch and process improvement.
• Exposure to Production costing, BOM’s, and routings using ERP/MRP system.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
