Job summary

NAFFCO Emergency Vehicles in Sydney is seeking a Production Support Engineer to provide accurate engineering, safety and production documentation for manufacturing. You will work with the engineering team and workshop to resolve design issues and help us build better, leaner and safer equipment.

This role covers master parts data, Bills of Materials, CAD management, drawings control, QA and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from an institution recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Minimum 3 years' mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with an ERP system in an engineering environment (Syspro preferred).
• Experience with CAD management systems such as Windchill or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Australian Standards, NSW requirements and VSBs.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD, Word, Excel and MS Project.
• Current NSW driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Managing the master parts database and company style guide.
• Preparing and managing Bills of Materials and routings for lean manufacturing.
• Creating technical documentation with diagrams and photos.
• Maintaining the Engineering standards manual.
• Managing drawings, documentation and change processes.
• Reviewing drawings for compliance with company standards.
• Preparing test plans and CAD work as required.
• Programming CNC machinery and supporting workshop with engineering input.
• Assisting with quotations and sourcing specialist components.
• Supporting QA and WHS processes and driving continuous improvement.
