Job summary

The Beerfarm in Perth, WA, is seeking a hands-on Production Assistant to support all areas of the production site. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will help keep the brewery clean, safe and running efficiently with cleaning, cellar, packaging and warehousing tasks.

You will rotate between areas, assist with kegging and canning, handle raw materials, and assist with equipment maintenance, all while upholding beer quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Passion for beer and willingness to work in a busy production environment.
• Avail flexible hours and shift work.
• Ideally experience in a commercial brewery or beverage production.

Responsibilities

• Keep production and storage areas clean, including floors, walls, tanks, cool room and outdoor areas.
• Follow CIP procedures for transfer lines, fermentation vessels and bright beer vessels.
• Help with kegging and canning under supervision and safely move, lift and stack full and empty kegs.
• Support cellar tasks such as yeast offs, dry hopping and yeast handling, and take FV samples and record phys chem data.
• Rotate, prepare and stock brewing raw materials for the next day’s and following week's production.
• Help with maintenance on production equipment, keep tools and consumables organised, and report any maintenance or safety issues.

Beerfarm was founded in 2015 on a 1940s dairy farm in Metricup, Margaret River. Once an old dairy farm, we converted the hay shed into a tavern, built a brewery in the roundhouse and created a name for both a destination and a brewery that would serve straight-up beer. About The Role

Based in our Perth facility, the casual Production Assistant provides hands-on support across all areas of the production site. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will help the Production Team keep the brewery clean, safe and running efficiently, getting stuck into a mix of cleaning, cellar, packaging and warehousing tasks.

You will also:

• Keep production and storage areas clean, including floors, walls, the outside of tanks and fermenters, the cool room and outdoor areas;
• Follow CIP procedures for transfer lines, fermentation vessels and bright beer vessels;
• Help with kegging and canning under supervision, and safely move, lift and stack full and empty kegs;
• Support cellar tasks such as yeast offs, dry hopping and yeast handling, and take FV samples and record phys chem data;
• Rotate, prepare and stock brewing raw materials for the next day's and the following week's production;
• Help with maintenance on production equipment, keep tools and consumables organised, and report any maintenance or safety issues.
